| Le Tour Stage 1: Futuroscope Time Trials | ||
| We all arrived here on
Tuesday 27th June and have been already editing for 2 days. Todays
race consists of a timetrial around the Futuroscope park in which each
rider races the clock trying to post the fastest time.
Here follows the pictures from the first day of the tour, enjoy! |

Here are the trucks arriving in the 'Zone Technique' at about 7.30am. Unfortunately the parking guy was non-existant so we had to park the trucks with the possibility of being asked to move! Fortunately no-one has said a word so far. The truck at the front left is the office truck containing the 'Cut-Cut' (used to record the race, log tapes and prepare tapes for editing). The other half of the truck is the office with our phones, fax, tapestore, general office stuff, a fridge and Anne! The other truck directly behind it is Made in Video's OB8, containing two digital edit suites, a voiceover booth and a logging area.

Here you can see the Made in Video truck after its settled into the 'Zone Technique'. We are particularly proud of our flags as we have the tallest flagpole out of anyone. The trucks around us are from TV companies from all over the world and travel every day. The 'Zone Technique' is always at the finish line of each race and is rigged every morning and de-rigged every night, an amazing feat by all concerned. Here at Futuroscope we have the unusual situation of having the start and finish line in the same place.
| Here is Ian Woods, the Operations Producer, in the voice over booth. He appears to be talking to Adrian Karsten, the Host Talent, about the route of the tour. With all those kilometers ahead, is Adrian the best person to ask?!?!? Humpy Gumpy! | ||
