Le Tour Stage 21: Paris Champs-Elysees

So finally after 3,662.5km, 22 hotels and and copious amounts of 1664 we are here! The mood is a little strange, relief at the end of a long month but also some sadness knowing that we will all be going our separate ways tomorrow. Still, it is also a time for of joy as Lance Armstrong enters the final stage with, barring a fall, the whole tour in his hands. This year the power that the tour yields upon this country is all too apparent, as for the first time it begins and ends in Paris effectively closing the whole city.

The Zone Technique is an unfamiliar place today. The Family, Friends and Invited VIPs seem to outnumber all the ZT family members. It feels like our party has been gate crashed! However for those with family and friends with them their smiles and laughter become most infectious! When we got into Paris last night all of us met up for a few beers and some reminiscing. The sensible among us went to bed at midnight ready for tomorrow, Adam and Scott however (who were a little stir crazy) went drinking and dancing all night and suffered for it all day!

Tonight is the wrap party, I will not waste words on the experience here because I'm hoping to get some pictures of it soon, then it can have a page all to itself. Believe me, it deserves it! So here are the pictures from the last race day, enjoy...

So here's OB8 on the Champs-Elysees. Today we have to do a live link back to the states so there is a lot to do production and technically wise, hence all those new wires hanging out the side!
Excited people are everywhere! Here's some kids hanging out with the Channel 4 crew. Future Moto riders?
The finish line awaits Lance. The Police wait for anyone to do anything other than stand still, then they shout at you! You thought they were bad in Germany! JESUS!!
